This forum has put me on a first name basis with the UPS driver. Turns out he is a rider also and he likes to take a minute to find out what is going on with my SG when he drops off "safety" parts.
I've spent around $3000 on my bike this year. Hopefully I'm done for a while unless I start hearing a lot of good comments on the IDS system. My bike has been lucky and is not one of the real noise makers.Does have some minor rattles but nothing compared to my old Roadstar.Besides aren't these things supposed to make some noise??
I'm so grateful for this place. There were so many things I needed badly (for safety) that I'd not have known about otherwise. How would I have made it through in my ignorance?
It's all about positioning your "needs." When my wife is doing the debits on the checkbook, I'll hand her mine, which has all the times I'm filling up on gas (usually topping off the bike). She said, "man, I thought bikes got better mileage" than this.
"You know, sweetheart, you're right. Let me check into that and see what we can add to the bike that might help."
Just wanted let you all know that I hate this forum ..... Everytime I think I have my scoot done the way I like it Someone here mentions another mod they've made or posts a product related web-site and well, you know .... gotta have it and I'm trying to figure out how to tellmy SO how thisproduct is only meant to enhance the safety capabilities of the bike!
Thanks a lot (no really thanks a lot)
LMAO .....
I have the same problem times TWO cus the Wife rides her own SG
Rob .....
Just when you think you're finished with modifications, no doubt you will find that you need another bike and have to start the process again. In short...you are never done!
I agree! I'm sick of this forum too..... I'm just plain tired of learning new tips, being able to look up a problem and fix it myself, seeing what mods others have done, and then to have to help others with advice on things I've run into....it's a freaking nightmare!
I log on here everyday so I can laugh at all the people who keep coming back like mindless cattle to the feed trough.
Thanks, Mr. Forum, for consuming my otherwise exciting life.....
When I saw the title of the post, I figured I'd have to come out swinging in defense of the forum....false alarm...nice trick though, kept me reading. I'm with you 100%.The spirit of comraderie and helping one another coupled with the "look at what I got" mentality is exactly what keeps me coming back for more. Lots of great info and people sharing their knowledge and short-falls; more than I ever expected I'd find when I bought my bike. Hope this forum sticks around for a while. Keep the pics (and inspiration) coming.
