Default Part interchange question

My brother just bought a 06 electra glide classic that he is in the process of repainting. He wants to get rid of the big tank console and wants to do a smaller street glide style on it. What years are interchangeable? He just wants to clean the tank up a bit and get rid of the intercom stuff that he will never use. Thanks in advance.

I swapped the console on my bike exactly as your brother wants to do but it was on a 2022 fltrk. I don’t think you can do that with an OEM part for older than 2008 model year but best way is to check with a dealer.

Use this site to compare part numbers. The tank on your brothers bike and a Street Glide are the same.

'06 and '07 Street Glide will fit but will also need a matching seat.
