I'll also put in a vote for the Gerbing's heated jacket liner. Mine's been going strong since 2001! If you want to save a few bucks try a simple on/off toggle instead of the thermostat. I just turn it on when I'm cold and turn it off for a few minutes if it gets too hot, or if I get stuck in traffic or a long light. Works well for me and it is easy to operate on the fly.

The pair I have are Joe Rockets, with a full length zipper on both legs, making them very easy to get on and off.
Snow Mobile riding gear. The Canadian stuff is the best. Good quality and cheap. It gets cold up there. Pants and Jacket have zip vents if you get hot. Non restrictive. 20 below....light thermals and an adittional T shirt.
