I will say cylinder leak test, rings and/or valve seals should be looked at unless you have damaged cylinder walls. These will cause oil to burn. Other options is excessive oil from head vents shooting oil to be burned. Oil pump not so much but good to upgrade
5 year extended warranty... this rebuild is gonna cost me just the $50 deductible
No wonder why the techs are like, "Nope, can reproduce the problem" They probally knew the issue was there and didn't want to deal with it. Glad you stuck with your instincts.

I've posted my issue here in other posts...quick recap. My 2020 RGL was using/consuming oil at a rate of 1 litre every 2000'ish km...just barely more than HD's "acceptable" amount of 1 litre per 2400 km.
After the dealership documenting & lots of checks/tests it was found my rear cylinder had a 42% loss (yikes!) on leak down...even though compression was normal. They feel my rear cylinder is slightly "out of round".
The service mgr at my dealership was relentless and made it his mission to figure it out before my warranty expired. He himself put a ton of hours (non-billable) into it just in case HD would not cover.
End result...he pushed and HD is covering both cylinders, pistons & related parts under warranty. They are even giving him some extra hours for the time he put in. My dealership is great! I'm happy.

I'm in Orillia...Barrie HD. Originally from your neighbourhood though. Grew up in Niagara-On-The-Lake, then St Catharines. Still visit often as my wife & I both still have lots of family there.

I knew there was a real issue, so glad I had video proof.
Personally believe the oil pump is the reason it sumped back in Nov 21, as I said another dealer in town has a bike in right now with the same issue and replaced all parts mine is due to have and it still smoked, they are now trying to get permission from the insurance company to update the oil pump (not got latest design, same as mine)
LOL'ing at H-D dealer tech services for saying the discoloration could have been caused by moisture/oxidation
It was caused by an engine that got real hot
Yep! I laughed at that too when I read it. Moisture .the only moisture available is from condensation which boils off pretty quickly once warm enough. Crazy.

Its a joke considering my bike is kept in a garage in Florida, its got its own natural heating system lol
Hey, I asked harley to give me a quote to replace the oil pump if it wasn't gonna one of the items they was replacing as I feel that is a contributing factor to my engine problems.
They came back today with a quote $1,440 !!! I said I will pass and wait for it to either sump or blow!
Friggin ridiculous number considering my bike is in bits now for new cylinders and heads!
