On my 97 road king the ECM is protected by a rubber boot to go over the plug in connection to protect from rain/water. Problem is, on the new boot I purchased to cover the extra plug in connection there is the small end for the connection plug cord. How in the world can I stretch the small cord end of the rubber boot to go over the big ol connection plug? Im worried I will tear the new boot trying to push the plug in end through. Baby powder? Heat rubber boot in hot hot water first? Im stumped, any suggestions will be helpful so I can install the power commander 6. Thanks
Boot goes on before the wires are pinned. Might get by with depinning the connector and do a few at a time. Take lots of pictures to help with putting them back in the right order.

Oh wow, de pinning might be more than I am up to. Was hoping to stretch the boot over the connector....dang, I will study what it will take and see just how hard it will be. Thanks for your reply.
Not what I was hoping for, lol.

How bad it the orignal torn? You could use liquid electrical tape to perhaps repair it.

The original boot is fine right now covering the ECM but to hook the power commander 6 up, it has 2 plug in connections, 1 gets plugged directly to the ECM plug in port (which will need the new boot installed to protect the ECM from water) the other plug in connection of the pc6 will go to connect to the connection that has to be removed from the ECM, so it is like a female plug connecting to the old male connector together. Kinda hard to explain. The pc6 its self sits in between the 2 connectors, 1 is the "in" 1 is the "output" connector. Hope I am explaining it well enough.
