I got wild 1's 16's on my 06 king...F'ng love em!!!
So comfortable I cant even describe it.
All the back/shoulderpain from stock bars went away instantly.
I am 6 foot and they sit about an inch below my shoulders. I dont have them kicked up theyareinline with the forks.
Stock windshield goes on with no issue, I even have enough play to kick the bars up about 1/2 inch or so.
Handling took about 3 min. to get used to. To me it rides even better now!! I will never have another bike without apes
I have a 07 RK custom. Will I have to change my cables for 14" or 16" apes?
Also, I'm 5'9". How tall are you guy's that have the 16". Is 5'9" to short to have the 16's and not have them above my shoulders. I know stupid question but I'm not sure what to do. I know if I have to change my cables that could get quite expensive. Thanks guy's

Yes, for the change to apes, you will need to change lines and wires. Some have said that if you go with the Heritage bars that you can reuse the same lines. I went straight to 18" from stock, and I, of course, needed new lines. And as far as height is concerned, the best way to tell is to go sit on a couple of bikes. Aww if you can attend a bike night, or head to the dealer on the weekend and just wait for some touring bike to come along. Make sure it is a touring bike you sit on, as the other models have a completely different sitting posture.
