Hi all, removed my tank badges and there is a ghost image of clean paint where the badge was that is much brighter than the oxidized rest of the tank. There is no remaining adhesive or booger, just the ghost image. Anybody have a favorite polish that will brighten up the surrounding area without f'n up the clear coat? Paint is blackenned cayenne sunglo and I dont want to have to reshoot it. (I tried the painting forum but it is still hybernating)
Poorboy's Pro Polish 2 has always worked well for me. It has more bite than regular polish but has never damaged anything, just don't go nuts on the speed/pressure.
3M finesse-it, I believe its a 1500 grit polishing compound. Ive used it to diminish scratches in clear coat, works very well and too fine to damage the clear coat.
