Patching spoked tires

All three of my bikes listed below have had spoked wheels and tubes. Luckily, I have never had a flat. When on road trips I carry a full bottle (16 oz) of Slime for tubes. I also have towing insurance and find that virtually all HD dealers carry tubes for my bikes.

I have spoked wheels on my adventure bike, KTM 890 ADV R. I converted the laced wheels to tubeless by using a 3M sealing tape.
I first used a specific kit called Outex, which was 3 times the price and it failed.
Here is a video of basically what I did to the wheels. I didn't seal the nipple holes with silicone like he did. I just cleaned / prepped the surface very good and used the 3M sealing tape. The stuff is super sticky and has a touch laminate layer to it. I have about 8K miles of Backcountry Discovery Routes (off road, rocks, mud, etc) on these wheels and they haven't leaked an ounce of air. When we do these off road trips, we are in the middle of nowhere and I totally trust the set up.
I can't see why it wouldn't work on a HD?
