I have scoured the forum and can't find an answer to this particular question. I have a 2021 Ultra Limited and I have installed a cb module. there was antenna coax under the fairing to connect to the CB module, but I can't tell if the antenna mount is already connected. There is a ground wire attached but there doesnt seem to be a coax connection similar to the FM/WB antenna on the other side. Am I missing something?
The connector at the tour pack end of the coax is not the same style connector that is on the end of the coax in the fairing, that connects to the CB module.
#34 on the pic below should be there in the tour pack. One end should already be connected to the antenna mount already. You'll pop the plug (27) out, and there is a HD #76000166 $2 antenna stud that slides down into where the plug came out of and screws in to #46 (already there too)... that gives you the stud to screw your antenna on to.
The other end of #34 should be near or hanging out the front of the tour pack where the other wires come out... from the factory on mine that end was not hooked up. But the coax coming from the fairing was there, just coiled up and tucked down behind the battery... its there somewhere coiled up and hidden probably. Find it, uncoil it and connect it to #34 coming out of the fairing (the ends will have matching connectors on them). At the tour pack end the connectors are the kind that "slide together", not a threaded collar like at the CB module end. Then you should be go to go. All 4 harness/wires coming out of the tour pack has connectors close to the tour pack (AM/FM antenna, CB antenna, Lighting harness, & Audio harness), makes it easy to disconnect everything if you want to take the tour pack off).
I appreciate the information. I found the coax under the seat and it was already connected. The single wire in the photo is what connects to the antenna. Is this all I need then?
There is, its actually shown in that picture in post #3, that "tab" on the back of the metal pan is where one part clips to metal pan, and then the single wire in the pic going to the antenna mast. Thats all there is to it.
