I wanted to put Rush 2-1/4 slip on's on my new 08 Road Glide. The dealer told me that I could only go with 1-3/4's without going to a PCIII or such. IS this true? I thought with the O2 sensor it would automatically adjust or take off the plastic ac shroud.
HD's O2 sensors is a passive system and will make very little if any changes...
Some Slip-ons can be changed with out making adjustment - Just be advissed that changing the slip-ons only WILL NOT improve the performance of the bike and WILL NOT cool the bike down in any way - Just make it louder... Louder does not equal performance
My dealer installed Rush 2.0" baffled slash up muffs on my '08 FLHTCU. Both the parts manager and service manager said 2.0 was it without any modifications to fuel management.

They sound great, imho.
Wish I had known. Mine said 1.75 was all they could do. I really wanted the 2.25 but that would have meant mods. You did nothing witht he 2.0 and runs fine? No knock on decel?
Runs and sounds great. A little "pop" when rolling off the throttle, but nothing serious. No knock, ping, click or clatter... just good ole' H-D rumble!
1.75 Is super nice. Great sound my wife said theyare to loud but I think not. They dohave a little tin sound to them on concrete.I ran mine for 2 weeks without a pcIII or k/n filter.
