glad they found the broken right foot now instead of later. my wife broke her ankle years back and the docs were so focused on that (it was bad, completely snapped both bones going to it, with one protruding from the skin) that they completely overlooked the small broken bones in her foot. now, her ankle doesn't bother her much, but those small bones sure do!
just out of curiousity, you mentioned that it appeared the tread separated on your front tire. what kind of tire was it, and how old was it?

keep up the good progress!!!!
Sorry about your wife, that's unfortunate. I've taken a very active role in my own medical diagnosis and recovery plan. If left alone, it would have not been discovered.
The tires were stock HD branded Dunlop. About 9k miles and 8mon old. I have TPMS and check the pressure constantly.
PT has been going okay. I'm making great strides. No one warned me about nerve pain following a surgery. My leg exploded in nerve pain and nothing stopped the pain. I writhed with a blanket in my teeth for nearly an hour Bore it started to subside. I guess the nerves are waking up.
This morning, i was helped out of bed and put in my wheelchair. I rolled to the window to look out and post this as an update:
@Oko Thank you for the patch. My wife got it in the mail yesterday.

Here's some positive for you, broke my leg 5 years ago playing hockey. Now I can tell when it's going to rain..........so when out riding you'll be able to high tail it home !
I have a titanium rod in my lower left leg from an incident on a mc, becarefu if they put you on percale, I was on it for 3 months, I asked the doctor to take me off it and I would deal with the pain. I was getting addicted to it and started craving it.

The look on the face of your youngest in the earlier pic is priceless! I think you scared the hell out her. She doesn’t look the least bit amused by this turn of events….
Be nice to get home I’m sure!
