Yea, I was having a hard time putting it into words....
I installed new bars this weekend and added a 4" clutch cable extension made by Fat Baggers cause the stock cable was just to tight for me.
So the cable now goes away from the bar rather then close in near the bar and when i turn full right the cable hits the inner fairing on my roadglide.
I was trying not to have to use clamps or ties, the bars are just to sexy!
Okay, yeah I was confused and didn't respond the first time. The cable sounds like it's too long and maybe a 2" extension would have been better than the 4". There are some very nice looking clamps and I think you're going to have to got that route.
Did you measure the length of the clutch cable you would need with the new bars BEFORE purchasing a 4" extension? I have to agree with NoRegerts. It sounds like you ordered an extension that was too long. Still, if the cable is going places you don't want it to go, you have to restrain it somehow. Your options are zip ties or clamps.

I did not, 4" is the smallest extension offered by Fat Baggers.

If a 4" extension makes it THAT long, are you sure you even needed an extension in the first place? If it is too long and you don't want to secure it, the only other option is to replace the entire clutch cable, from lever to transmission, with the correct length.
