Just go buy a battery, this is not rocket science until Rounders comes to your aid. They last 5 years, good luck
yep... sams club duracells are just fine for me... 5 years and still going... up tp about $150 now i think... my last one was 118.. check the date on it and u all set
The batteries from your local O'Reilly's are as good as any.
I thought that too until I bought my last battery from Oreillys. That one went Ka-put in less than 8 months. The damn warranty is only for 6. It soured me on their batteries and since they have gone up, they are only about $10 less than a Harley battery.
Battery pickin is much like nose pickin, or better yet, oil pickin. Everyone has their own ways and reasons.
I got the Yuasa AGM, Gyz32HL, for my 03 FLHRCI. 500 CCA. I keep mine on a low amp smart charger while not riding. Yuasa ain't cheap but ain't lithium price either. Baring any discharge issues it should last 5 yrs +. Good luck
I'm still happy with my 4 year old YUASA battery. Stays on a battery maintainer when not riding but works great, reasonable price, shipped direct to my door.
I replaced my original HD battery that was 4 years old last September..... the replacement died Sunday just gone... only 9 months old, to say I was not impressed is an understatement!
Luckily I carry a battery power pack that got me out of trouble as I was in the mountains miles from anywhere!
I would suggest EVERYONE carry a battery power pack, so far I have helped out 5 stranded bikers with a dead battery!
BTW my bike is kept on a tender if not riding... which I do most days and its always a decent distance, ie not a hop to the local store/bar.
