Default Ghost problem

2007 road glide is only charging at startup idle if I take the rpms up to 2k it stops charging..I took it to the dealership and they said everything is working but on my ride home it stopped charging..I have checked all grounds and tested stater, voltage regulator and battery everything is working at idle but as soon as I pull down the driveway the charging stops...anyone got any ideas I don't want to take it back to the dealership and they can't get to it for weeks

My guess is the regulator is not seeing the battery. (something is loose or corroded) But it just could be your instrument. Be sure to put a good volt/ohm meter on the maintenance charger line directly to the battery and see what that shows.

Welcome, hope you enjoy your ride here.

Only as a suggestion, create a signature line for
your bike, year, model, and all the code letters.

And make your next post over in the new member welcome area and say hello.

The process is well documented, so consider this the basic routine.
Turn the run switch to run, then turn on the ignition switch WHILE holding in the odometer reset button.
This will cause the gauge needles to make a full sweep, and then the odometer display will show a text w/a flashing first digit.
Pressing the reset button will index to the next module.
Holding the reset button in for a few seconds activates the currently flashing module.

Once a module is activated/enabled, it will display a message or code related to that module.

Note: You may have historic codes present but no CEL illuminated. The ECU will wipe these codes after a specified # of ignition cycles without further detection.

I had a similar issue, battery terminals where loose. Check the connections.

Have you checked the connector on the regulator , could be corroded or dirty with debris , kind of a bad spot for it , in some cases , oil can drip down from removing the oil filter and cause issues . Make sure it's clean using some electrical contact cleaner , as well as checking the pins and seats for damage .

Have you tested the regulator ? This link should help you determine whether or not it needs replacing . Read step 2
