I have 07 Street Glide with rinehart slip ons.... I am debating going 2-1 with a fatcat.... The only drawback is the sound... I like the lower rumble of rinehart as the fatcat sounds tinny to me..... Would it be worth it for the hp and tq gains....If the hp and tq gains are substantial over my slip ons, then I could learn to like the sound!!!!! Anyone have opinion????
Had the Fat Cat on my Street Glide. Wasn't crazy about the sound except while cruising. They sound tinny and growls to much for me. I much prefer the low bass rumble of my Road Glide with Rinehart slip-ons.
Also had the Fatcat and put my VH duals with Ovals back on. I lost a little HP up high but no torque at low RPM or peak. I liked the sound of the Fatcat at idle and to some degreeathighway crusing but not between the gears at all. With my new Heads the VH duals sound even better and are smooth as silk. I' still reserve the right to find the right 2-1 for my taste though. I'll be doing some different cams first.
I have the Rinehart 2 into 1 on my 07 Ultra. The sound is second to none in my opinion. However, I have had the rear, chrome, heatsheild replaced 3 times under warranty and it is turing gold again because of the heat issues the 07s have on rear jug. I have also had the can replaced once and the end cap replaced twice. Mind you all this was free of charge and under warranty, since I had the bike tuned at a dealer when I put the PCIII on it. It is a major pain in the butt to keep replacing these parts and shipping them back. Rinhart has stood behing their warranty, thank God! I dunno what I am going to do after the warranty expires this winter.
Have the Rheinhardt True Duals on my Bagger with
the performance baffles. Love the deep low rumble
and they sound great when I wind it up
Probably could getsome more performance from a 2 into 1
but favor the true dual look
