I am with Steve, after 30 years of riding everything else and 10 years of riding nothing, I finally have what I wanted all along, a Harley Davidson. It is not new, but it is exactly what I wanted and riding or just looking in the garage never ceases to put a huge grin on my face. Life IS short, enjoy it!
Just did an evening ride up the Columbia river on the Oregon side. Beautiful warm day cooled off when it got dark. Hardly noticed. I love that fairing and especially some music for the ears. Still breaking the bike in. Added another 100 miles to the ticker. Life is good. This is what riding is all about!
Thanks to everyone who chimed in about how much you enjoy your bike.
BTW, I am one who came here to see what others have been doing to upgrade their bikes. I love to see pictures. I will admit that I'll post if I have a problem. At this point I have none. None at all.
Good change of pace, it good to see some positive opinions in this post. I love my SG, and the Dyna I had before it was great. I don't have a heat issue or a clattery trans, I'm now over 13,500 trouble free miles, and I'm loving it.
Has anyone else noticed that the pipes just don't sound as good when heading into work as when leaving? Otherwise happer than pig sh_t! 10K downand more every day.
Let me just say this about my SG...I've been ridin for 40 years all on jap bikes mostly crotch rockets, and all I can say is every time I get on my davidson I smile and every time I get offit I smile...life is a ride in the countryside...
I love my bike but my yamaha is a little peeved. She claims she gets no attention anymore. (She doesn't know it yet, but shes getting traded in for a Street Bob...shh.)
