Anyone have this saddle? My Corbin is not as great as I would like it to be. The Road Zep seats don't fit my RK Standard. Trying to find the widest, most comfy seat HD has and maybe the Tallboy is it....but would like to hear from others........
I have the Tallboy seat on my 07 Ultra. I like the position that it puts me in being that I am 6'4". As far as comfort I would rate it at about 7 out of 10. It is not quite as comfy as my Mustang seat I had on my old ride, but for the price and the fact that it is a factory seat I think it is pretty good. I have done up to 550 miles in one day and was able to tolerate it. I am thinking about have a gel pad installed by Meancitycycles.com. Do a search and you should be able to find some more info.
I put the Tall Boy on my 07 Ultra, LOVE IT. Added a sheepskin cover as well. Wife really likes it as well. I'm 6-3 and it made a world of difference. I wanted to go Road Zep but couldn't eat the $800, a week after i bought the Tall Boy I found a Road Zep for $550, oh well. Day late dollar short....Tall Boy is well worth the $$$.
I have a tallboy that I install for long rides, it has proven to be very comfortable to me and my wife likes it as well as my Mom who rode it for a day with my Dad. I am 6'3" and 250 if that matters. I do however prefer the look of the stock seat and it stays on for all but the long rides.I once did 900 plus in less than 16 hrs and the seat was fine for that.Hope this helps some.
I do often ride with my wife as a passenger. She seems to like the saddle a bit better than the mustang that we had on the old ride. She starts complaining after about 350 miles or so. She has done all of the long trips with me. I did swap the stock saddle for the tallboy before she rode with me the first time. She does have plenty of room even with the lost space over the stock saddle. She is about 5'8" and average build.
I'm 6'3" at 240 and seems like this would be a good choice. I'm hoping dealer has one I could put on scoot and drive around for a few miles. I like the corbin but had to go with smallish rack on the back and would like to go back to HD seat for more options as I like the new Kury bag. Why can't they make the road zep for a damn RK?!?!?
