Default Break Light Recall

Got a recall on my 2022 Street Glide that the brake lights may stay lit telling those in back of you that your breaks are on even though they may not be. I am not seeing a problem but is this something I can check myself and not have to take it in? Thanks

If it's a recall, have them replace the part being recalled, it's free. Better safe than sorry.

it's a software programming. No physical parts. You can't do it yourself.

Isn't this the same recall from last year?

Very few bikes doing it. Dealer has to re-flash the BCM. I had a 2020 that was recalled after I sold it last year, and a 22 that is recalled that I’m not rushing into the dealer. They had seen one “non-trike” that was experiencing the problem.

Is there a database to see if it has already been done based on VIN?

My dealer did the reflash for the recall on '21 Ultra Limited when I had it in for something unrelated. Took less than 15 minutes.
