Default 100% waterproof pants

I am looking for a pair of rain pants that are 100% waterproof and will not burn on the pipes. I do not mind paying for good gear. Should be able to ride all day in the rain and stay dry. I have the harley gortex rain jacket and it keeps me dry.

Found "Teknic Monsoon Goretex Pants". Anybody have these or know anybody that owns them.

I have HD's top of the line rain suit that includes pants and jacket. The pants have a patch on the leg to prevent burning. I have worn this suit in a lot of rain and been dry. The suit is lined, so it wicks body moisture away to prevent the sauna effect.

Regards,

Bill

I'm not sure where you live, but if you're in the upper half of the U.S., I've had excellent results with a waterproof overpant made by First Gear:

http://www.newenough.com/firstgear_h...pants_page.htm

100% waterproof 330 denier Hypertex™ w/extra panel on rear
Sheltex™ membrane for breathability
Abrasion-resistant Dynax material on knees
Removable, zip-out insulated liner
Full-length, 2-way leg zippers for easy on/off
Removable Temperfoam™ knee and hip armor
Spandex waist and adjustable belt

I use the FirtsGear HT overpants. They work great & have a removeable thermal liner so you can wear them most anytime of the year. Can get a little warm over 90 degrees. The FirstGear Kilimanjaro jacket makes a great addition to the overpants & also has a removable thermal liner. It to works good, but after 90 degrees probably do not want to wear the jacket. Frogtog top would be good then.

Charlie,

Get the matching Harley Gor-Tex pants, they have Nomex on the inside of the legs and won't burn and will keep you dry all day.

I think even the cheapest pair of Harley pants will keep you dry. And all have the heatshield. Pay what you think you need but be sure if you pay alot you'll rip em for sure![:@]
A good jacket is where the money should go. I think you have that covered.

I use the HD FXRG pants and coat with HD electric gloves. I ride to work and back (150 miles) regardless of the weather. Have never had a problem with staying warm and dry even the day my windshield iced up in the fog. They have reinforcing patches an the shoulders and the inside of the knees and lower legs and zip out liners. A little pricy but they really work.

First Gear. Serious riding pants and water-proof. Not the Harley image but ask me if I give a hoot.
