I'll give that a try in the morning...back off completely...do you mean to slacken the cable all the way?

I'm not sure if you have one. There is a throttle tensioner on my throttle housing, the plastic bit that rubs the throttle tube slipped out of place. Made the throttle not snap back. Fixed that and problem solved.

Tom, that might be it. I did put in a new shoe, perhaps it slipped...damn I hate to drop the cam shell again...such a pain to get everything situated again! I watch a few videos where they just snap in place...nope, not me!

Since it looks like you have the tensiner. Unscrew the tensioner **** and see it it helps at all. If so, and with a new shoe, it may be thicker and just needed to be adjusted. But... it still might be a good idea to inspect it?

I inspected it...shoe was in place ok, have the turn screw all the way down...the throttle is a little better but I know it's still not quite right...I may have to take it to a local HD mechanic to figure it out...hey, it's only money!
