Accessory plug and Kuryakyn speakers question
2012 Road King, 4 prong accessory plug, along with the Y extension/splitter. One side already powering small lighted chrome luggage rack. I want to use the other side of the splitter to power the Kuryakyn speaker pods and Bluetooth controller.
4 wires are red, black, green, and blue. When I test the red and black wires I get 12 volts with the engine running and left nacelle switch on. When I connect the red and black from the pods and Bluetooth controller they wont power up and the voltage is only 8. When I connect directly to the battery the pods and Bluetooth power up fine. Im assuming the voltage drop is the issue but why is it happening?
Also, the pods and Bluetooth controller each have wires that should be connected to the accessory wire on the bike. Question is if I even need to connect it if I can use the Nacelle switch to power up and down?
Not sure if Im doing this the correct or simplest way, but I would really like it to power up and down with the bikes ignition.
Attached are the wiring instructions for the speakers.
