front brake squeel

Would someone p;ease tell me how to stop my front brakes from squeeling on my o6 classic?
I have clean and washed and wiped etc etc

Change the pads with Lyndall pads.

You MIGHT have glazed the pads when the bike wuz new - overheatin' 'em when they're "green" kin cause 'em ta glaze. Take sum medium-grit sandpaper, pull the pads an' carefully scuff 'em up a tad. If they're glazed (they'll look REAL shiny), that'll usually clear it up.

I just put Lundall pads on last night, fourm consensus is that they will help reduce the squeal, also need to take pad retaining pins out and clean and brush with Brake Kleen. There is supposed to be some material that goes on the backing plate of the pads but I cant for the life of me remember what the name of the stuff is. I also had a floating rotor installed on the rear and will do the front rotors when they arrive from Zanottis. Should take an hour and a half to do this. Let you know how it works today.

Switched to Lyndall Z+ pads which made it quiet down alot but not all the way. I put on the SBS brake pad shims and no more squealing. The Z+ pads also cut down on the brake dust that gets on the wheel and of course the dust that does get on the wheel is not corrosive like the dust from stock brake pads.
