Everyone pretty much covered the options. Don't know about the WD 40 one however.......
Got back from Sturgis a few weeks ago and had been doing a fair amount of riding on "treated" gravel roads in and out of the campground and developed a squeal. Used my pressure washer to spray the brakes and then a good amount of brake clean to seal the deal. No more squeal.
As someone stated, Harley will do the swap on the front rotors if a good cleaning doesn't fix the problem.
When you buy a brake pad kit at the auto parts store, they give you a little package ofgrease to put pn the pads whei installing.
If you go to the auto parts store, they might give you a pouch. place a little of this grease on the pad. go slow and work it in untill the brake stops at normal. thThe pad will last longer and the squeel is gone. Cheap fix.
Apply a bit of pressure to the front brake lever. Mine makes a constant squeal as well that can only be heard when going slow. I goes away if I pull in the brake lever a wee bit (not enough to engage the brake).
