I ordered both of the Fat Bagger up grade parts for my 2021 clutch cable. Getting them on e-bay and saving $15 in shipping. I was sitting here thinking about today's ride and thought if that cable broke at the stop sign it would shoot me into 55 MPH traffic and get T boned. $100 life insurance plan. Do I really have to worry about that happening ?
I agree. Your bike would lurch forward and stall upon a sudden gear engagement at idle. Your butt might make skid marks on your seat when that happens.
Happened to me on my Sporty in my driveway last year as I put the bike in first.

$100 life insurance plan???
Yes you should worry about such an inadequate plan, clutch cable is the least of your worries. At least you wont be a target for anyone to cash in your chips.
As for shooting into traffic, you could stall the motor by applying the brakes.
When I was learning to drive a car my instructor always wanted me to engage the handbrake when at the front of the queue at traffic lights.
A couple of years ago I went out with an advanced rider and he asked me to hold the rear brake when stopped so that the light was brighter but it would stop the lurch.
Keeping the bike in gear at a light has saved me on two separate occasions. I do not sit at a light in neutral. But yeah, if the cable snapped, the worst of your issues would be the therapy after the cars honked at you and made you sad after the bike stalls.
There are thousands of these new plastic clutch cable adjusters on the streets now and the biggest complaint so far is that they seem cheap. No one has been killed by one that I’ve heard.
