I ordered both of the Fat Bagger up grade parts for my 2021 clutch cable. Getting them on e-bay and saving $15 in shipping. I was sitting here thinking about today's ride and thought if that cable broke at the stop sign it would shoot me into 55 MPH traffic and get T boned. $100 life insurance plan. Do I really have to worry about that happening ?
No doubt it will happen, sell the bike, use proceeds to take up knitting. Much less chance of being shot into traffic.
Once the car behind you has stopped, you have no way of knowing what is going on behind it...
Once you are stopped, where exactly are you going to go if something happens, shoot out into the intersection, or shoot between two cars on an Electra Glide?
To me the neutral thing is a myth, because in most cases once you are stopped, you are a sitting duck.
Pay attention to what is going on behind you before you come to a stop.

I sit at the light in neutral all the time. I've been doing it for 40 years. I agree with Dan89FLSTC it would be hard to go anywhere in a hurry. I do a pre trip inspection before I take off. I check the cables. Breaking one on the road sucks.
