I have a new to me 2005 Road King Custom. What's the difference between the Custom and the other Road King Models as far as seats ? Looking at Corbin and they don't list a touring seat for the Custom so I'm considering a Harley Hammock seat...
Seats should be interchangeable. They mount the same on Road King models. FLH models use the same frame. You can take a seat off a Road King and mount it on a Road King Custom. What differentiates the custom is the leather bags versus the hard bags on the standard model.

Seat height (thickness) is different on a standard Road King and a Classic. Probably the same for a Custom as well. Any Road King seat will work. The Custom was not as popular as the other models, maybe that is why Corbin does not mention them. Or their seats do not match the stying on the bags, the way the Classic has the basket weave look on the seat and bags. I don’t know, just guessing.

I have the same bike. I love the looks of the stripped down custom, on mine I have a Mustang two piece touring with a drivers backrest. Is it perfect, no, is it better then stock, by a long shot!!! Anyways when you look it up it lets you pick Custom but as far as the seat description goes it just says Road King. They all fit.

I actually received an e mail from Corbin regarding this from Corbin " The dash on the custom is different then the classic, Unfortunately we do not have a dual tour available specifically made for the custom anymore we may have at one time and it has since been discontinued. The seat you have selected will mount to your motorcycle there just may be a slight gap at the nose of the seat." Road King Classic Road King Custom
Regarding the post above. Has anyone installed a Corbin seat for a standard road king on a road king custom ? I'd be interested in seeing a pic of how it fits.
Have you considered other brands, like LePera? They have the same firmness as a Corbin and they have a better selection of seats for all years. Might be worth a call if interested.
I checked out the Lepera seats. They seats they list for the Road King don't list the custom either. I've had a Corbin seat and it was so nice I hate to go with a different brand.
