I know that there are many threads about this and solutions are available. However, I cannot imagine riding and Ultra with the front fairings installed. The heat coming off of my Street Glide is horrible. It is WAY HOTTER than my '96 Softail Custom was.
If it is 90 degrees out and you arebasically sitting on a motor what should we expect? Heat! I have yet to see a bike that you would not be hot on whether it be air,oil or watered cooled!

Before I added the Fuel Pak & oil cooler mine ran only slightly hotter than the '91 VS1400 Intruder I rode back in the early 90's when I lived in FL. That was one hot-running pig, especially in the heat of Miami's summer traffic. [:'(]
I got the same story from the dealer when I asked them about it- "It's because the EPA makes Suzuki lean it out for emissions."
Even 15+ years ago the EPA was being a PITA... [:@]
With the FP & oil cooler my Harley is no worse for heat than the inline 4-cyl UJM bikes I rode in the 80's & 90's, so I can't complain...

Yep, you've got a 1.6L air-cooled gas-fired heater 3" below your nads. You will feel some heat...
Well I will tell you this...I have an 07 SG and an 08 Ultra.[8D]
They both make heat when stopped in traffic on hot days....Now here's the difference. On the 07 SG I have installed the DTT/WEGO IID with Rinehart T/D`s and SE A/C..
The bike never feels hot now...It was 85 degrees today. I can stop in traffic and never feel the heat come up past my legs. I can almost touch the top of the head, but it`s still a little to hot for that...
It`s great and the bike runs fantastic...I`m still tuning it with the auto tune, but she runs better and better every time I ride it.....
I have noticed a big difference between them and the Ultra will be next when something comes along that's as good or better, or maybe a new unit fromDaytona Twin Tec. TheTCFI/WEGO IID setup is the best unit so far.
