Precision Cooling Performance Update
I have now had the opportunity to ride my 2014 Ultra Ltd in 95% humidity, 95 degree temperatures during the past week in Indiana. Prior to that time, we have had a very moderate Summer, with no high temps'
Rode in various situations, stop & go, State Highways, twisties. Temperature Sunday was 92 with 98 heat index, sunshine and 97% humidity.
Results: I can honestly say that I did not detect additional discomfort compared to my 08 Ultra. Yes, it was hot...duh. But the heat was no worse than that coming off the 08. No, I did not have a meter to check the head temps, but I really was happy to note that I could tolerate what heat there was.
Don't know if others have had a chance to make comparisons. Seems to me that HD has "bought some time" by going with the hybrid precision cooling.
