Have a Freedom Shield now ( about 8 years old ), put a different seat on and sit a little higher now. Was looking at Freedom again, they have a standard and now a touring style. Does anyone have the touring model? Thoughts?
Nothing but praise for Freedom Shields! Not sure what bike you have...Road King, Batwing or Shark? If it's a Road King or Batwing I don't have much advice.
We have a Road Glide Limited (shark) and love our 15" Touring. We did try the 15" Sport Touring but have found the wind management for passenger better with the straight Touring.
I have the Freedom Shield Touring for my 2021 StreetGlide for 2 years now. Very happy with the dark tint for me. As previously shared, there is no wind buffeting. John is the owner and has top-notch customer service. Safe riding.
Here's another word of praise for Freedom Shields and specifically the touring model. I've had the Freedom Touring Shield on my 2015 Ultra Limited since new. Super pleased with the shield.....AND, can't say enough about their superior customer service. friendly and knowledgeable staff who are more than willing to take the time to discuss products/fit over the phone......just give them a call. (usually offer a 10% discount for Forum members)
Also FYI....they offer their shields in 1 inch height increments so a perfect fit is easy to achieve. A+A+A+
I went FROM Freedom shields to KW due to high speed issues with the Freedom. I am a tall waisted person and need a 12in touring wide and after 85mph my handlebars would go nuts. After switching, my gas mileage went up and my wobble issue went away. Just my take.
