When you guys bought your Ultras did you get any communication gear with it? (headset, mike, etc) Or did you have to buy it seperate? If so what kinddo yourecommend for intercom and CB use?
Damn, my buddy just bought a new 07 Ultra two weeks ago and didn't get anything but a cheap toolkit with his. Should he go back and raise hell about not getting his set?
One headset is supposed to come with the Ultra, although many people store them and invest in J & M headsets. If your buddy didn't get his, I'd definitely recommend going after it.
like was mentioned, the UC comes with one headset. Lets see, the UC has an intercom and you need two sets! Hmmm.... another way to get you to buy an accessory right at the beginning.
I already had J&Ms that i was using with a J&M intercom on my WG. Got the lower cables from J&M for the UC and they work great. Cords are longer than the HD and work great for both the rider and passenger.
I bought a used 06 Ultra at a dealer and they made sure I had a head set when I left.It was not with the bike so they pulled one off the shelf and gave it to me.
I got the bag liners, tool kit, one headset. I made them throw in another headset before I would sign. Don't forget your HD t-shirt. I don't use the headsets in the Florida Summers. I use my half helmet and a hand mike to use the CB. We don't use the intercom when it is so hot.
