has anybody had this problem bike runs fine but when i stop at a light or stop sign the idle gets very low or should i say lower than usual then at other times its fine or while your at the stop light you here the idle come up on its own where it should be i dont know could it be a sensor or something 05 rkcustom injected
No more than you described, I'd say it's normal behavior. The ECU will drop idle RPM to cool off the engine when it's getting hot. Don't blip the throttle; let it do its thing.
My 07 Ultra does same thing. It has never stalled while idling that low..soI reckon its "normal". Does not happen all the time, maybe 4 times since I got her in April this year.
its a feature you guys havnt been told about??????
bike knows when a hottie is about to pull up next to ya,,,, this low idle alows the
manly biker time to get her #
My 03 EG drops to a low idle intermittently. Checked IAC and other items suggested on this forum and can't find anything. Have found that if I turn on the ignition, hit the run switch - wait for the fuel pressure/engine light to go out - count to five (allows the IAC time to complete the step procedure) and then start bike I seldom have the idle problem. If I use this procedure the bike always steps the idle up to 1200 RPM (or so) then steps down to 1000 RPM when properly warmed up. If the bike idle doesn't respond this way on start up it will almost always have the low idle problem you described. Waiting 5 seconds might be worth a try....just my 2 cents worth.

That`s great. That`s exactly the proper procedure for all injected bikes.
The I.A.C. resets every-time you key on or cycle the run switch. My DTT ECM outlines this to try and avoid improper boot procedure's as a problem with the system. It`s a computer operated system and all ECM, PCM`s have a boot up.
It`s a good habit everyone should get into when operating newer/injected bikes.
