Default Twin Cam to M8 Conversion
Got a question. Is it possible to replace a TC engine in a non water cooled touring frame with a Milwaukee engine? Is it possible or just a pipe dream? TIA.

Engine mounting points are considerably different

Wouldn’t be paying someone to do this for me. I would be doing it as long as theres some kind if conversion mount system.

So you would be bringing to complete ECU, BCM and making the ABS work. and wiring with it?

Twin cam bikes have an ecm and abs. I would almost think that can be reprogrammed. Not sure what BCM is you’re referring to.

So you want to put a new motor/engine in an old frame?

Be a lot more than fabricating mounts.

Twin Cams have BCMs as well, but there are different versions over the years and they are not 100% interchangeable across years. I don't have info on which BCMs are in which years/bikes.

Coming from guy that converted 07 RoadKing into 2012 RG with all OEM parts including 6gal tank . Why would you put M8 in 14 or under bike? Just cost alone ,I mean doing it yourself will be 3x what bike will every be worth.. I had plan to do full update on mine till I added up cost vs what bike might be worth and what it was worth as it sat… I sold bike $11k. Buy new to me 20RGS. Being building and riding it for last yer without 1 regret…. JMO.

now I love to see M8 in old rigid frame.
