When I did mine last it was my fault, pin wasnt set in properly. Redid and voila
Me too, When I did mine I had about 6" sticking out of the bottom, I staggered and extended from there.
Solder and heat shrink color coded to match, I repinned at the molex connector under the tank and1 pin was bent.
It was for the headlight hi beam. Like I said, the last thing someone touched is where you look first.
anyone know where i could find a simple diagram of the deutch connector wire assignment?

May or may not be the same as your 2003.
if it is, pay attention to the orientation of the wires and the colour of the connector.
One is black and the other grey. I can try and find the picture of the smaller black connector if I need to.
Let us know if this helps.
And yes this is on my kitchen table, this is how you can find out what kind of wife you have!
The wire extensions were all terminated i just misplaced the pinouts. After some trial and error and a really long fight with the hand brake switch that i thought was screwed up and turned out it works in reverse. Thanks for the help hopefully posting a finished pic tomorrow 😁
