I got a call from a customer a little while ago who has a 2023 Street Glide. Where it gets weird is he measured his derby cover dia at 7.25".
I was under the impression that all of the 2023 touring models had the 7.75" dia cover (aka "narrow profile").
Maybe my customer mis-measured, or maybe things in Milwaukee aren't as simple as I thought.
If you have one of those late model bikes, can you take a moment and measure the OD of your derby cover? I expect it will be 7.75", but I'm interested if anyone comes up with 7.25".
My bike is a 2023 Road Glide Limited with a 114 = 7.75"
I'm sure there's a better way of doing it but I just changed out the model on HD's site and it showed my derby cover would not work on:

Prior to that phone call, what you're describing is the way I thought it worked: Late model touring all have the 7.75", late model Softail all have the oddball 6.4" size with the mounting pockets, and Sportsters have the 6-hole with the little lump to accommodate the clutch cable.
My guy threw me for a loop when he said his was 7.25". My guess is he just mismeasured, but he's on the road right now and said he'll call back after he gets home and is able to double check.
