Default Ticking at higher rpms

Hi all, I’ve been chasing a noise on my 22 RG Limited for a while now with no luck. I have the following mods: Wood 22XE cam, Wood lifters, adjustable pushrods, Rinehart slipons, S&S teardrop breather.
The bike is quiet on startup and stays quiet all day, but when I hit approximately 3500 rpm I get a rapid ticking noise. It starts at the same rpm regardless of gear, speed, load. It does not go away or get worse as rpms increase, but the exhaust drowns it out by the time I hit 4000 rpm.
Any ideas?

You mentioned you have adjustable pushrods. Have you ever tried re-adjusting the pushrods. And are you using recommended oil viscosity. Singer sewing machine sounds are typical are some engines, usually the TC's. Not that familiar with the M8"s.

Yes, the rods are adjustable. Would they not make noise at all rpms if out of adjustment? And yes, I’m using the proper oil.

Does it do it while parked and revved up to 3500? If so, use a stethoscope to check the injectors.

It’s definitely not as pronounced, but it can be heard be heard parked. I’ll try that.

Not a mechanic by any means but help me understand how the injectors would contribute to his noise.....thanks goldie
