I was told to put 38oz into the primary on my street glide....i put 38oz of 80w-140 syn3(of which the dealership says is the new better oil, smh) and about 2 oz came out..should I redrain it and start over? Should it take less since it's thicker? Idk, just want a safe bike... Or just make sure it doesn't go over the pressure plate? Heelllpp 🙄
As previously stated, do you have a service manual?
If not, as noted, stop anything you are attempting to do, as you need that to know.
Never do or listen to people who state what qtys to use or type. Why a service manual is a must.
Lastly, although theres factual replies here, disregard until you get the service manual and read it, learn and live it. Then you will know whos giving the correct advice.
Easy mistake not to have bike upright, s..t happens. Good idea to buy a service manual before one accessory. I know their expensive, new about $150 bucks, get a used one here or on ebay for half that, very worth it. Even with manual we still have questions, just a few less.

Oh sorry thought you didn't know why it overflowed. I never use a jack, once drained and plug in, I would just slide a 2x under kickstand and dump fluid in.
