Fender tip light out.
My 99 RK's front tip light is out. I replaced the bulb but that did not fix the problem, I also checked the connections, all looks good. I have not removed the tire yet to check the wires. Has anyone had anything like this happen, and how did you take care of the problem.

Had it happen on my 2000 Electraglide. Removed the tire and saw the wiring attached to the inside of the fender had become chafed. I'd guess you have the same problem.

The light has a conector just inside the lower fairing on our Cop Glide, and yes the wires run along the underside of the fender.
Check the bulb, which we are certain you have already done, verify that the connector to the harness is still connected, verify that 12vs is reaching the bulb socket

I had a similar problem after buying my 01 RK...further investigation revealed that the wiring from the light bulb socket into the headlight nacelle was completely gone - ha!
Still haven't gotten around to putting in a wire to make it work...should be pretty easy to run a wire tho.

The 01 Touring line had a recal in late 04 for the Fender tip. The Wiring harness would come loose and the chafe would wink out the light power.
