Default Rocker cover moisture

I did a search and nothing came up about this topic.

Is this excessive moisture in the top rocker cover?

Almost never. I intentionally make short ones long.

If the engine was run for a shorter time the last time it was started, or ridden in extremely cold weather, it would seem normal. It's amazing what comes out of those breathers when you do an external breather kit. Looks like a lot of what you're seeing there.

Thanks. I do ride in cold weather and in fact my last ride a couple of weeks ago may have been one of those rare short ones; I can't recall for sure. But from what I've heard before, it is surprising how much comes out but just wanted to be sure this was somewhat normal at least and that there wasn't something else I need to be concentrating on.

While you might think that a 20-30 minute ride is long enough to get the motor up to full operating temperature, You're mistaken. All of that is residual moisture coming out of the crankcase.

Not sure what you mean by oil bag. But yes there has been a recent oil change.

Curious as to what makes you think you know how long my rides are and that I don’t know how long it takes.

I figured it was coming from the crankcase but as I asked, is it excessive. If so I would want to know why. That’s all.
