I just put a new speedo/tach combo on. My Road King and I love it. The stock one had a digital tach that I couldnt stand and it fogged up really bad so I replaced it with this one. It has a dial in dial type analog tach. Plus it has a fuel gauge and a gear indicator all on the same screen if you want it. It has customizable colors so you can set all the different parts with different color combos. It has 600 color combinations. I didnt get too fancy with that though. This is one of the best upgrades I have done to my bike. Here is a pic once I set the colors to my liking. The yellow indicator lights dont stay on when the bike is running I just turned the switch on for a pic.
No not so far I parked it in direct sunlight today for over an hour and no fogging. The stock one would have fog completely over in that situation. It was basically worthless when it did that as you couldnt see anything on it.
Nice upgrade! I put one on my King a while ago. I also have a digital fuel gauge cap on the left side, so I look at the range more than the fuel gauge on the speedo.
Got one on my '05 Softail Springer. I was quite surprised when the gear indicator, and even the high gear (since I don't have sixth gear) works as it should! I've got a 34-tooth sprocket on the transmission, and I think there's just enough of a difference that it knows I'm in high gear. I like it, even if it is a "6" instead of a "5". It lights up, I'm in high gear!
My OEM speedo on my 2021 Road King fogged shortly after I bought it in March of 2023 and I drilled a small hole in the back of it which eliminated the fogging and it never fogged up again. It's working great now. If it ever goes out, I'll certainly get one like yours to replace it.
