How is this even possible? Does HD or any other company offer an emergency drive belt repair kit?
Wasn't a joke. There was a great fear that you'd be stranded when the belt broke, so emergency belts and repair kits of all kinds of types were made and sold. Still are sold in fact.
No, there's nothing (that I know of) for the newer bikes. Turns out to not have been a problem, generally.
That said, I sure know folk who still fear belt drives because of the potential for breakage and the inability to fix it out in the wilds. Belts do break, and it really sucks when it's not at a convenient location.
My wife had her clutch cable snap while she was at a gas station. I went and got her bike (Indian) and rode it home without the clutch. She drove my truck. I replaced it with a much more beefy aftermarket cable. It's not a common failure point on modern bikes. Wouldn't hurt to have one lying around, but not something I'd carry with me.

It is not a failure on modern bikes because modern bikes haven't had cables for 20 years. Kids play bikes have cables, China bikes have cables, but not adult bikes. Even dirt bikes haven't had cables since the 90s. If someone tried to sell me a bike with a cable I would laugh them out of their own dealership.

You're aware that all the Harley touring bikes now have cable clutches again? So do all the Softails, like my 22 Heritage. I think my 19 SGS was the last of the hydraulic clutches, maybe 2020......somewhere in there.
