Could anyone give me some insight on the Vance & Hines Fuelpak, I have a 06 FLHRCI and just trying to get the best performance. I have the stage one kit with VH slip-ons and going to get the dresser dual headers to run a true dual system. I guess I’m trying to avoid the down loads and dyno runs. The way it’s being advertised, is that you can set everything yourself, this way you can pay your self that $85.00 hr
Basically I have run multiple configurations on my '05 RK Classic just trying to find what works for me. This included trying the V&H FuelPak.
I have the Stage 1 Air Cleaner with V&H Basic Slip-Ons running on the V&H True Dual pipes. I know others will say that you will loose torque / hp in the lower range. Personally I couldn't tell a difference however I'm sure a dyno test would (maybe). In any case my current setup in regards to the fuel management for the hardware setup is the Stage 1 ECM flash and a Power Commander IIIusb.
Yes, I will be told that having the flash done was a waste of money, it's garbage, etc. However, this was just one step in getting to what works for me. It also allows me to remove the PC III and still have the bike run well with the installed hardware (in case of warranty work at the dealer). In fact right now I am running without the PC III and getting good performance and good MPG. This could have to do with the temp changes...??? Just a speculation. I will be getting the bike dyno'd before spring rolls around.
In any event, what I am running on my bike works for me <insert disclaimer here>.
