Really....really....reeeealy hate to be critical but come on harley... what have u done ? the tradition is gone... the oh wow factor is toast...first the 100 year old air cooled went away with the rushmores, and i was ok with that, but then the classic sound was taken away with the advent of the M8...and now... the fairings ,bags, and the absolute most boring and simple looking dash where all those beautiful and exciting gauges used to hang out...now... one big humongus blank screen and nothing else.. when i saw it i didnt even want to see it lit up... nope i told the salesman... i LOVE my 2012 103...!!!.. just because these manufacturers have all this new techy stuff, why oh why do they HAVE to use it all at once ? give me maybe a wee little bit at a time but whew... i'm done..i have vented.. but i do kinda like the new whiskey red color

I respectively disagree. With the '24 Street Glide you get ABS and RSDS standard. You get a modern infotainment system that doesn't require and add on box for bluetooth. You get LED lights all the way around including those great turn signals in the fairing. The bike finally gets some decent brake / running lights. You get the 117 ci engine. I understand not having physical gauges is a big change and you may prefer them, but the digital gauges are large and clear and there is a lot of good information on the screen. My last SG was a 2007 and the change is huge. This one followed me home this week.

I thing they are just trying to appeal to the crowd that would park
it next to a tesla in the garage. I haven't seen one yet with the new
fairings & bags. There's an event at the local dealer tomorrow.
I might go by there & chk it out. It's supposed to be raining though.

I like the traditional old s___ too. A tail light on the fender etc etc.

Side note. tesla owners must be the worst drivers on the road !!!
(at least around here)

you know things have to change, you can't keep the same look year after year, after year...

and to the parking it next to a Tesla are they building EV touring models now? the average person wouldn't know a
2017 RG from a 2024 RG, so I'm not sure where that comes from, some of you like to just bitch and complain...

Personally I like the looks and all the features of new bikes...I looked at new bikes and then looked at mine and it felt so outdated...LOL.. Hopefully they finally get rid of that shake/vibrations next...

I have on 012 Ultra..It's a traditional Harley touring bike. But I gotta admit I really like that red 24 street glide pictured above. That's great a nice looking bike.

If you want all that ****,I for one do not.
I do like the M8 motor,I bought a 2019 Electra Glide standard without ABS the last of it's kind in part because it was a blank slate for me to add what I want and not pay for what I don't want or need.
I really didn't want ABS and had to look up RSDS to see what it was,no thanks I have skills built over many decades of riding going back to drum brakes.
I don't need a radio let alone all that other gadgetry and in my mind it's less things to possibly (read will at some point) fail.
My last new bike a 2000 Classic had more than I wanted on it but I made sure it was carbed not EFI,rode that bike 20 years and 200,000 miles, never had a fuel delivery problem.
I won't say the EFI on this M8 isn't nice and it gets great gas mileage but I wonder will it do 200,000 miles and not fail or the fly by wire throttle?
I had no choice there so it is what it is but that's about the extent of any tech worries I'll have with the standard other than maybe the ignition.
I don't begrudge those who want all that stuff, just say'n it's not for me and I'm glad I got one of the last fairly simple bikes.

Beautiful bike Lowbar. If I were getting a new one this year, it would likely look just like that. Chrome SG in Whiskey Fire!

Every time I’ve bought a newer HD I’ve been impressed and happy with the update. I have a 21 RG Limited now, left it stock, and I love the bike.

The new bikes, in my opinion, look amazing. Someday, maybe someday, my last two bikes were my forever bikes, until they weren’t
