Default Tall boys Floorboard extensions installed

So i ordered a set and got them installed. Even though i cant ride it yet because off the 4 feet of snow there is a night and day difference just sitting on it. Ive never liked floor boards because of them being cramped and im 6'4". I do have the joker machine boards, highway pegs, brake and shifter and the boards being very thin and no big rubber pad helps a bit too.

One thing that is no good is now the rear brake pedal is unusable, i need to lift my foot completely off the board to reach, i cant even keep my heel on and reach the brake. I still think the board relocation is better than being able to reach the pedal so i looked at soft brake levers but at $245.00 USD shipped to Canada, then add exchange rate, duty and tax im over $300.00CDN dollars. i think im going to cut a "V" notch in the bottom of the lever and cut down from the top and bend it lower then weld it back together and repaint it. Just looking to lower it so its within reach and it will be fine.

Either way, i highly recommend the location kit for the floorboards.

The rear brake pedals on the Rushmore touring bikes were really high so that the rider's foot would fit on the board underneath. I added board extensions and put a Softbrake pedal on. Can't get my giant foot under the pedal now, but at least the brake is usable. I *almost* cut and welded mine, the deciding factor was I found the pedal on sale and it has a grease fitting already installed.

It would be really easy to cut 'n weld. Personally I would cut a bit less than I thought I'd need at first and sneak up on the final dimension.

Have you looked at the Kuryakin extended brake pedals? They are quite a bit less and probably sold in CA.

I'm happy to hear that you like the relocated boards. I too am 6'4" and feel cramped, even with a custom seat setup that moves me back. I bought the Tall Boys brackets and Softbrake levers, I hope to have them on in a few weeks.

These will go on my 2009 Ultra, and I'll also put a set on my 2008 Street Glide.

This is the ticket.
Kuryakyn laid down brake pedal and extended shift arm. I am 6’-4” and got these off Amazon and all problems solved with tall boys brackets. Fit and quality great and priced great, grabbed both off amazon.

I alreaduvdrag floorboard mounts easily on my 2019 FLHTP. Wondering how easy it is to drag these floorboard mounts since they are further out than stock.

I as well love my tallboy extensions on my 2019 FLHR.
But as I come from the old school chops from 60s and 70s the brake pedal is back to normal as that was the way they were on all the forward control choppers (such as easyrider) and most them bikes had no front brake.

With our front brake being the stopping power we have plenty of time to get foot right with brake pedal. So majority of riding time brake pedal is out of the way.

One of my favorite parts is being able to slide my foot underneath the brake pedal all the way to stretch out my leg. Just do yourself a huge favor and let it ride for a while and you will learn to love it that way and braking will be normal.

PS
I haven't scrubbed floorboards or brackets with about 4k miles so far. Added a set to a 2012 Limited @ same time and he isn't dragging either.

Here is brake pedal on my old 74 (still have her) and pretty much how all forward controls were back in the day.

LOOKS GREAT and what a savings!
Also, my opinion is that fat brake pedal looks great with the stock floorboards! Damn sure looks better than sticking up like mine!

Always polished my work when dealing with chrome as such best I could and then clearcoated it for protection.

Did you use the tallboys?
There is much more of my brake arm showing than yours (but again to my liking for stretching legs further forward).
Front of my floorboards are flush with lower crashbar.
Ride Safe✌️

I did look at them and from what I read online they don't really do much and had pretty bad reviews, not all bad but the majority of what I read was bad.
