Saw the add from Parts Giant on this forum and called them. I have been shopping for tires for the bike They beat my best price by 60 bucks. So I would check them out if your looking for parts. I did order them.

PG is always the place I check first and normally wind up buying from.

I'm always leery about the date codes on tires purchased online...

I'd be interested to know the date codes on the tires you receive....

Many of the online retailers drop ship tires from Parts Unlimited. I found this front Dunlop AE on sale in December from an Amazon retailer. I actually buy most of my tires there at better prices than I can find elsewhere.

Other than that "blip" a couple of years ago when tires vanished, I have received very recent date codes on my Dunlops through Dennis Kirk.

Only problem with buying tires online in my area, is that there are no shops around anywhere that will mount them unless you buy the tire from them.

we got a good thing going through our dealership..get 10% off parts and they charge $50 apiece to install front and rear..the Harley Reward points program accrues more $ and Dunlop offers a $60 rebate twice a year for buying and having tires installed by dealerships..I always replace front and rear tires at the same time annually which ends up costing about $500 installed and they inspect the wheel bearings and I can tell if my brake pads need replacing at that time

That's a lot better than I would have expected via the internet... Thanks for sharing...

Just today, I went to a local "8 Ball Motorcycle Tire" shop. They have the best prices locally. Much, much better than a Dealer.

I bought a Dunlop American Elite MH90-21 front tire @ $153.99.

I bought a Dunlop American Elite MT90B16 74H rear tire (not to be confused with that size front tire ending in 72H) @ $229.99.

I always remove the wheels from the bike myself, and bring them in. They only charge $30 per wheel to remove the old tire, then mount & balance the new tire if you bring the wheels in. They balanced my spoke tires using the chrome spoke weights at no extra charge.

I told him I wanted "fresh" tires because on this bike, I will most likely have the tires timed out, rather than wear out. I contacted him last Friday, he went through his inventory, and called me back yesterday. The rear tire DOT date code was 4323 and the front was 0224....

They have been my go to tire shop for about 15 years. I almost stopped using them because last time I went, the shop manager was like talking to a used car salesman, luckily he was short lived. This time there was a new shop manager, and he was great to work with...
