Myself If the pads are not grooved seriously sand or file them smooth and run them if you want.
It's not gonna hurt a damn thing

I can get a couple of days use out of my underwear if they don't have skid marks on them by turning them inside out......... Socks too!

Oil filters; not so much

If the wheel were mine, I would replace the break pads as well. I plan to get new rotors for the front wheel as well but I will wait a few thousand miles until the pads wear down a bit more.

The rotors are balanced. No need to rebalance. As for the old pads. You’re already there. You took your underwear off for the shower, may as well put on a clean pair.
