Hey have any of you guys used any of the after market seat pads? The type that sit on top of your seat.
Like www.airhawk.net or www.amspecialtiesusa.com
How did they work and was it worth the $$$$?
Thanks
I gotts gel pad with sheepskin. I think the sheepskin helps with swamp *** but the gel really ain't all that. I have tried the beads ( a cheap cushion from Pep Boys) and when the air gets down there you can feel it, but still sweat abit. Seen alot of posts about Air Hawks leaking so didn't try one myself.
I am to fat to trust a seat filled with air. If you are looking to get your seat more comfy, try BadX (Allen) with www.meancitycycles.com . He can do some modifications to your seat to help you out, and you wont have to worry about removing it every time you get off the scoot for a lunch break. IMO
i just bought the beads from beadrider. First day on it was triple digets, told my buddy it felt like i had a/c blowing on my butt
Will be taking a trip over the holiday weekend and will be able to tell how good they work. Running around town, they are comfortable and definatly help cool your butt. Let the same buddy ride my bike, hes ordering them for his ultra this weekend
The problem I found with the gel pad is it gets extremely hot if left in the sun and holds that heat for a while before cooling down. I had the gel pad inserted in my seat during Gettysburg bikeweek.I will be ordering a sheepskin cover fromwww.alaskaleather.comto get me thru the rest of this riding season then ship the seat to Mean City Cycles for the memory foam insertduring the winter.
