Pulled the bike out about 2 weeks ago on a warm day and took it for a spin. As soon as I got to 20 mph I lost my radio and dash lights. Turned around and went home. Tested the battery and stator and they are good. So I thought it was the Voltage Regulator. I replaced it and took it out yesterday and same thing. It only does it under load. I talked to my Indy and he suggested to check the grounds. I removed the battery and checked and cleaned and greased the grounds on the primary, the grounds just in front of the battery and the ground in the fairing. Still doing it.
If only the radio and dash light are being affected I'd be cking the connectors along with fuse connections for those circuits.
Does playing with the ing switch in different positions or wiggling the wiring duplicate the problem?

all the dash lights go out, the check engine light comes on, the radio drops and the voltage meter pins to the right and stays there.
No codes come up and other than the voltage meter, when I come back down under 20 mph all the dashlights and the radio come back on.
Interesting. Seems you are thinking speed is the trigger and not rpm? That would lead to the ecu but obviously an odd conclusion. Or maybe the wind turbulence is exposing a wiring issue.

Needle all the way to the right..does that mean over 18 volts? Did you clean the plugs that go on the voltage regulator? Do you have a manual so you can check if there are a couple of grounds under the gas tank, toward the rear? No codes with all of this?
If the lights go out and the radio quits while the bike is still, while revving the engine, I would check the voltage regulator / wiring first. If it's putting out way over 14.7 volts, there maybe some sort of over voltage protection kicking in that shuts things off.,,

What code is it? If volt meter goes high, I got to think volt reg. But you replaced? Harley or cycle electric or some goofy brand? Though expensive and want to be sure.
Put meter on battery, rev engine up, should stop around 14.4 dc. Doesn't prove you don't have intermittent problem. I
