Not some Amazon POS knockoff, but a very sturdy, high quality part that works as advertised.
My Amazon shifter is sturdy, well-finished, and works as advertised.
I do agree that with certain major accessories (like my Mustang seat, Legend suspension and HD windsplitter shield) you get what you pay for. But with so many of the smaller bits carrying the same Made in China sticker, I need to be convinced before I pay a 300% markup.
I just installed the Kuryakyn heel shifter on mine. Works perfectly to give your left foot a little more real estate. Also, if the stub peg bugs you, you can put a regular peg (Harley OEM or similar) on there. Not some Amazon POS knockoff, but a very sturdy, high quality part that works as advertised.
That's a cleaner design than the other model, IMO.
I wish there was an option that included a matching arm & peg to my Willie G pieces.
following up .Just checked mine. So far no scratches. I do ride like a grandma tho my shifts are easy and really mellow on throttle. 65k miles and I havent been over 3200 RPM yet. 😆

Your chrome is a lot harder surface than powdercoat, you'll be fine. And quit riding like an old lady, let that thing eat!
I just cannot for the life of me figure out WHY you would ride like that.
Man, you are not going to hurt a thing by letting her wind up.
A whole new world could open up for you if you had a torquier cam, and a tune, and you were passing trucks above 4K RPM
I have thought about this million times. lol I even called fuelmoto and was told at my mileage if the crank is out of spec, it will be a costly stage II upgrade.
I just cant make up my mind. Whether to keep putting money into this or just upgrade to newer motor. By my calculations I need to put in another 7-8 grand to make this way I want.
GTS- 1k
Handlebars- 1k (4th set)
Front suspension- 1.5k
Stage 2- 2k or 5k if crank out of spec per fuel moto
Rear suspension- 1.5k (upgrade to Ohlins)
Im waiting on sales guy to see what he gives for trade in.
