Default Saddlebag latch Inserts

Just a quick question. Has anybody ever installed the Drag Specialties (Hotop) Saddlebag latch inserts? It's to take the place of the red reflector, how does the red reflector come off? I tried the nut at the front and that didn't loosen anything..Any ideas or suggestions..Thanks in advance, Steve

The reflectors are stuck on with double sided tape. They are a pain to take off, but do pop right off.

warm the reflector up w/ a heat gun/blowdryer and pry it out. i used a screwdriver to break the reflector in the middle and pried up both side from the middle. no scratches on the latch that way...

Used a heat gun and the reflectors came right off. I really like the chrome inserts - they clean the latches up. Make sure you clean all of the old glue and crap off before putting the inserts in or you might have problems with them falling out.

If you don't have a heat gun, use a hair dryer on the high setting. Should be enough to heat the glue for you.
