Default Battery

Time for a new battery, she barely started today. Do I go for another Deka EXT30L or spend the extra 70 dollars on a Yuasa GYZ32HL.
Always on a Tender, 5 years on the Deka, a few opinions are appreciated, thanks.

Deka and Yusa are probably decent brands, not Amazon or battery plus. But I have had good luck with harley, so I buy harley. Typically not a have to buy harley guy. I don't leave my batteries on tenders, unless going long periods without riding. My atv, sleds, once or month or so I charge off season.

Problem with a tender, is you may not know you have a bad battery until you get away from home. Nice to leave off once in awhile.

Oh, look, a battery thread. We don’t get those very often.

Be adventurous. Go with the Yuasa this time.

Coming off a Deka that for whatever reason didn't last 2 years. Bought a Yuasa today....

I always buy Deka. The Deka in my bike was eight years old, and still going strong, when I replaced it last month. Only reason I replaced it was because I won a new battery in a raffle my local dealer had.

I swapped in a battery from O'Reilly's two years ago with zero problems. I have mine on a tender when it is going to sit more than 24 hours.

The Yuasa has finger holes in the top which make installing and removing the battery very easy. The lifting straps always seem to break. Battery Mart looks to have about the best price I could find for the Yuasa also.

Two zip ties, one through each battery post works the best imo. Drops in and removes easily.
